It is with immense pleasure and anticipation that I welcome you to the Regional Airway Meeting 2026, set against the breathtaking surroundings of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. As the scientific chairperson, I am delighted to extend my warmest greetings to each of you, whether you are returning participants or joining us for the first time.

Last year, many of us gathered in Kuching for the truly memorable inaugural Regional Airway Meeting. The event attracted over 400 delegates from 11 countries, all coming together to share knowledge, experience, and innovation in airway management. This was further enriched by four full pre-conference workshops, providing hands-on opportunities that set the tone for an engaging programme.

We were privileged to host 21 educational sessions featuring 51 distinguished speakers and chairpersons, whose insights and expertise spanned the breadth and depth of the airway world. The presentations were complemented by 28 excellent abstracts, each enthusiastically presented. Our event would not have been possible without the generous support of over 30 sponsors and exhibitors, whose commitment and collaboration underpin our shared passion for safe airway management.

Building on this strong foundation, the 2026 meeting in Kota Kinabalu aims to further foster the spirit of learning, partnership, and professional growth among the airway community. We have curated an exciting programme that addresses the latest advancements, research, and challenges in airway management, presented by a high-quality mix of local and international speakers. Our goal is to provide a platform where innovative ideas can flourish, friendships can be made, and every delegate is inspired to contribute to the ongoing advancement of our specialty.
