Following the tremendous success of the inaugural Regional Airway Meeting (RAM) 2024 in Kuching, the organising committee successfully hosted the second edition of this landmark event, RAM 2026, from 25 to 27 September 2026 in the stunning coastal city of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.

RAM 2026 continued its mission to advance multidisciplinary airway education and collaboration across the Asia-Pacific region. Building on the strong foundation laid in 2024, this three-day conference featured pre-conference workshops, followed by two full days of plenary lectures, symposia and interactive sessions that explored the latest innovations, evidence-based practices and region-specific challenges in airway management.

RAM 2026 welcomed expanded participation from airway enthusiasts across Australia, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, New Zealand, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Together with the continued support of the Difficult Airway Society (UK) and leading airway experts from Malaysia and Singapore, the conference brought together a diverse community of healthcare professionals, reinforcing its position as an inclusive regional platform for airway education and collaboration.

Beyond its rich academic programme, RAM 2026 provided valuable opportunities for networking, collaboration and meaningful professional connections, set against the vibrant culture and natural beauty of Sabah. Both returning delegates and first-time participants had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge, engage with thought leaders and contribute to the advancement of safe airway management practices across Asia and beyond.
