Dr Yeoh Jie Cong, MBBS (IMU), FCAI (Ireland) is an Anaesthesiologist at Hospital Sungai Buloh, Malaysia. He completed his Fellowship of the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland (FCAI) in 2021 and is registered with the National Specialist Register. He has since been actively practising in anaesthesia and critical care.
Dr Yeoh has a strong clinical and academic interest in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), particularly its integration into perioperative and critical care airway management. His work focuses on bridging ultrasound image acquisition with real-time clinical decision-making, especially in high-risk scenarios where precision, anticipation, and preparedness are essential.
He is an active trainer with the Society of Critical Care & Emergency Sonography (SUCCES) and ACOUSTIC (A Certification of Ultrasound Use in Intensive Care), contributing to national and international ultrasound education initiatives. He has authored and co-authored publications in perioperative POCUS applications, including airway ultrasound, gastric ultrasound, and other critical care ultrasound domains.
Dr Yeoh regularly conducts workshops and lectures on POCUS applications in anaesthesiology and critical care settings. His teaching philosophy emphasises structured
scanning approaches, clinical integration, and patient safety, with the aim of equipping anaesthesiologists with practical, clinically relevant skills that translate into improved patient outcomes.
