Dr Wardina Shumaimah Dato Paduka Buntar is the current Head of Department of Anaesthesia at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital in Brunei Darussalam which is the tertiary hospital in the country. She is also the deputy medical superintendent for Suri Seri Begawan Hospital, Kuala Belait which is the 2nd biggest hospital in Brunei. She is actively involved in training anaesthesia trainees and contributed to the development of the Basic Specialty Training Syllabus for the specialty. She is also involved in teaching medical students as well as MMed Students at the Institute of Health Science, University Brunei Darussalam where she held the position of Adjunct Senior Assistant Professor. She is currently Vice president for the Society of Anaesthesiologists, Brunei Darussalam. Her area of interest is obstetrics and remote anaesthesia.
