Dr. Adrian Sultana MD FRCP (Glasg) FANZCA is an Adjunct Associate Professor in Anesthesiology at CQHHS in Queensland, Australia.
Dr. Sultana has experience in anaesthesia and perioperative management of bariatric patients, is currently the President of the International Society for the Perioperative Care of Patients with Obesity (http://ispcop.net) and chairs the Acute Pain Special Interest Group (ANZCA)
He is a tutor on the Final Exam Refresher Course for the FAZCA Part 2 in Brisbane, Australia.
Current interests include novel airway techniques for the morbidly obese; target controlled intravenous anaesthesia and opioid free anaesthesia.
Dr Sultana has recently presented at WAMM 2025, Florence, Italy; Anesthesiology 2025, San Antonio Texas USA at the last ROBAC in Kuching, Malaysia and numerous other Australian and International meetings. During 2026 A/Prof Sultana will also be presenting a panel at IARS 2026 in Montreal, Canada.
