Dr Nor Hidayah Zainool Abidin is an Anaesthesiologist & critical with over 15 years of clinical experience across district, state, and tertiary hospitals in Malaysia. She obtained her MBBS in International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM), and MMED Anaesthesiology & Critical Care from University Sains Malaysia (USM). She is currently undergoing subspecialty training in Vascular Anaesthesia and Advanced Perioperative Haemodynamic Monitoring at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, where she is involved in the perioperative care of high-risk vascular and complex surgical patients.

Dr Hidayah is part of the clinician group leading the development of the Malaysia Difficult Airway Registry (MyDAR), a collaborative, clinician-driven national initiative aimed at improving airway safety through structured data collection, shared learning, and system-level improvement in Malaysia. The registry is currently in its early implementation phase, with data collection beginning in selected centres and plans for phased multi-centre expansion.

She has published in local and international journals, including

She has also contributed to Anaesthesia and airway teaching in Afghanistan through collaboration with NGO MERCY Malaysia, supporting anaesthesia education in low-resource settings.

At RAM 2026, she will share the vision, early experience, and future direction of the Malaysia Difficult Airway Registry (MyDAR), with a focus on translating collective airway data into safer practice, education, for airway leads and network toward improved patient outcomes.
